Editor’s Note, March 1, 2022: SARC has returned to normal operations. This post remains here as a historical record. Additional posts have been made updating this ongoing situation.
SARC’s meetings and events take place at Schaumburg Park District Facilities. The park district provides these facilities to us free of charge in exchange for the public service events and emergency communication services that our club provides throughout the community. In order to remain in good standing with the park district and simplify any vaccination/mask/testing requirements related to the ongoing pandemic we have reviewed the park district’s current policies and decided to restrict food and beverage at our events.
The park district’s policy is as follows:
For group meetings where no food is served, face masks are to be worn at all times.If food is served (including snacks or beverages) ALL attendees must provide proof of full vaccination and masks worn at all times.
The SARC Board of Directors have reviewed the SPD policy and decided that no food or snacks will be served at Board Meetings, Club Meetings, VE Examinations, or Construction Project until such time as the SPD drops the policy.
This will not affect the Winter Field Day as this is held outdoors, not in the facility.
Your cooperation will help assure that SARC can continue to utilize SPD facilities at no charge.
