Public Service:

EMCOMM:

John Zietlow K9WIC reported there is no current communication regarding the ChicagoLand Marathon at the moment.  Since that particular event is a profit-making venture, we as Amateur Radio Operators are not to be supportive yet because we’re assisting government agencies (Schaumburg Police/Fire) in hosting radio coverage, there is no conflict.  This year’s event is scheduled one week prior to the Dayton (Xenia) Hamfest.  There are other potential events that may request support as the year’s calendar solidifies.  Updates will be announced as we learn more.

Repeaters:

Rob Glowacki N9MVO and Mike Sorensen K9KQX discussed near-term planning to move our newly purchased FTM-300DR machine to be physically installed at the Small Drive pump house.
